Timothy J. Pranger, DMD
Timothy J. Pranger, DMD received his Bachelor of Science at Eastern Illinois University. He then continued his education at Southern Illinois University-School of Dental Medicine graduating in 1987. While at Southern Illinois University-School of Dental Medicine he took over 500 hours of study in TMJ, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, and practice management courses.
Dr. Pranger has had 20 years of experience. He was the previous owner of Smile for Life Dentistry in Glen Carbon from 1990-1999. He was also an associate at Dentistry with TLC in Godfrey for five years. In January 2007, Dr. Pranger bought Humbert Road Dentistry where he specializes in General Dentistry including Root Canals, Crowns and Bridges, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Oral Surgery.
Dr. Pranger is a Member of ADA, Madison District Dental Society, a PerioProtect Provider, and a Lumineers Provider.
Terry J. Ortman, DDS
Terry J. Ortman, DDS earned his Bachelor of Science at Eastern Illinois University. He then ventured to University of Illinois College of Dentistry where he graduated in 1970. Upon graduating, Dr. Ortman served his country for 4 years in the United States Navy by providing dental services on an Indian reservation.
Dr. Ortman has been providing dental services for 37 years specializing in Oral Surgery, Dental Implants, Full mouth rehabilitation, Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, and General Dentistry. He was the previous owner of Humbert Road Dentistry (previously Terry Ortman, DDS) which he recently sold to his now colleague, Dr. Tim Pranger.
Dr. Ortman is very active in the Alton Community as a member of the Alton Lions Club, for 27 years serving twice as Club President. He has also been President of the Alton Band and Orchestra for 6 years, participated in the YMCA Board of Directors and many YMCA programs, and was an Assistant Boy Scout Leader. Presently, Dr. Ortman is President of Alton's Sts. Peter and Paul's Catholic School Board.
Gretchen Ewin, RDH
Gretchen Ewin, a 1993 graduate of Bunker Hill High School, attended Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL where she received a Certificate in Dental Assisting in 2002 and an Associate in Applied Science-Dental Hygiene in 2003. While in school, Gretchen was the Vice-President of Student American Dental Hygienists Association from 2002-2003 and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Upon graduating, Gretchen worked with Kyle Hagen, DMD as a temporary hygienist for 2-3 months before she found her home at Humbert Road Dentistry in April of 2004.
Gretchen has participated in many community activities including Give Kids a Smile in 2004 and Beverly Farm Foundation and the Southern Illinois University Dental School Pediatric Clinic while attending Lewis and Clark Community College.
